Economist
Zoubir Benhamouche is economist at the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, North Africa office. Before joining ECA. he spent several years as a consultant in risk management in financial markets in France. He also spent 3 years as an economist at the Direction de la Prevision et de l’Analyse Economique, Ministère de l’Economie et des Finances, Paris.
At UNECA his work focuses on productivity, inequality, structural transformaation, and the impact of institutions on economic development.
He is a graduate of ENSAE, holds a PhD in economics, an executive MBA, and a certification in social programs evaluation from J-Pal Europe.
